Membership
We currently offer 4 different memberships to suit individuals, partners, non-beekeepers and juniors. All members are invited to member events, talks and discussions under their membership.

Full Member
Total cost including local membership is £28. Includes: BDI insurance for up to 3 hives, BBKA membership with £10m liability, Stowmarket Association membership, BBKA monthly magazine

Country Member
A member who does not have any bees – £12.50. Includes: BBKA membership with £10m liability, Stowmarket Association membership, BBKA monthly magazine.

Partner Member
Total cost is £13.50. For people who share an address with a registered member. Includes BBKA membership with £10m liability and Stowmarket Association membership

Junior Member
Under 18 years of age. Total cost including local membership is £12.50. Includes BDI insurance for up to 3 hives, BBKA membership, Stowmarket Association membership, BBKA monthly magazine
BBKA: British Beekeeper’s Association
BDI insurance compensates insured beekeepers for equipment losses where their bees are destroyed or treated for Notifiable diseases – American and European Foul Brood.
Of course, all are invited to the regular meetings. At the meetings we usually have a guest speaker to cover a topic of interest to beekeepers. These are of local Stowmarket beekeeping interest, and will often cover seasonal subjects so you can get beekeeping advice relevant to the time of year.
